Sizing

Ahinsa updated their advice for sizing Spring 2023, but the sizing of the shoes has not changed. You can see their recommendations on their website here .

So far our customers tend to take their regular European size or the next size up in this model. The very front of the toebox is quite shallow in this design, so if you're in the upper range of your size or prefer more height above your toes, sizing up is a good idea. 

The overall footprint of the Sundara is bean shaped, suited to those who need more toebox width on the big toe side of the foot. The toebox skews towards the big toe side, and slopes down on the outer toe side, and has an overall nice-and-roomy wide fit. They taper to fit more sleekly around the heel and ankle.

These vegan shoes have some volume adjustability from the midfoot to hindfoot with their ankle boot lacing and profile. The back of the heel flares out at the bottom, making them a great choice for customers with protruding heel shapes.

 

Ground Feel

Restore access to your range of motion with the Lifo+ German outsole. It’s surprisingly lightweight and its flexibility will match the movement of your feet. Ahinsa states that these have excellent grip, even on wet surfaces. 

 

The Sundara has a very barefoot feeling sole, with maximum sensation and movement availability. These are perfect for customers who want to feel as barefoot as possible.

The Sundara is made from CF+ material: cruelty-free material that looks no different from leather at first glance. However, it lasts a lot longer than leather and molds to your feet from the first time you wear it.
