Sizing

The Bohempia sizing doesn’t match up exactly to our sizing guide. Please check this sizing chart and compare your foot length to the insole length.

You want to add at least 5mm to your foot length for freedom of movement inside the shoe.

These are unisex sizes, all of them are for the Wide version of the Hoska 2.0.

Fit Notes:

• Hemp and rubber can mold to the shape of your foot and can stretch out just a little

• What kind of footprint shape: bean shape

• What kind of volume: average-low to average-high volume

• Notes on width: average width at heel, extra wide toebox

• Is the fit adjustable with laces etc? Yes, you can adjust the fit with the laces

• What is the toebox shape: works best for mountain, sloping, and plateau forefoot shapes but the width may allow for a greater variety

Ground Feel

The Hoska 2.0 Wide is very flexible and barefoot feeling, especially once the rubber softens as you wear them in.

The soft and thin natural rubber outsole will move with you, allowing for lots of groundfeel. You can wear them with the optional insole for minimal cushioning, or without for maximum feeling.

We recommend the Hoska 2.0 Wide for folks who want to feel as close to barefoot as possible. If you are new to barefoot shoes and want to try these, start off slowly and research transitioning properly to avoid injury.

Care

Bohempia recommends the Pedag brand of shoe care products such as waterproofer and cleaners. If you look at other brands, look for products that are made for (dyed hemp) fabric and rubber.

Waterproofing (when new and regularly thereafter) can help extend the lifespan of the shoe and keep them cleaner longer. 

Spot clean where possible, hand wash if necessary and lay flat to dry.

Do not store (or dry) next to heat sources or in direct sunlight.

They are not designed to stand up to the demands of athletic use, and the sole is not designed for use on trails. Rather, they are perfect for running errands and meeting up with friends.
