This leather version of the Lem's Boulder Boot is not only Waterproof, it's a complete rethink of the overall construction with a deeper tread and even longer lasting, tougher materials.  Attractive enough to wear to the office, and sturdy enough to take on the trails or get you through a city winter!

The breathable waterproof membrane that stops water from penetrating into the boot, while still allowing the heat from your feet to escape.

This kind-of-a-big-deal boot also utilizes a pre-treated leather that softens over time , that treatment can be reapplied with a waterproofing like Otter Wax to help extend its water repellency.

For use as an everyday winter boot , expect to re-apply your waterproofing treatment about once a month. Try to clean salt off the leather whenever possible to extend your boots' life span, they can last for many years!

Please be aware that though the tread is wonderful for Fall and Spring trails and softer snow, it will not stop you from slipping on ice. You can wear ice treads that slip on over your boots for very slippery conditions. In our experience their traction is good on wet surfaces.

The Waterproof Boulder Boot is a great choice for those who are new to minimal footwear as the thicker stack height is forgiving when you are relearning your gait. They feel very comfortable on hard surfaces and feel stable even though they're so light!

Order 1 FULL SIZE LARGER  than your normal US size. If you plan on wearing thicker socks, then consider ordering 1.5 SIZES LARGER  than your normal US size. These boots are more snug than the original Boulder Boots (Leather + Nylon) due to the added membrane.

Lems models that were made on a Natural-Shape Last like these are very wide  (especially in women's sizing as it is the men's width) in the toebox and taper towards the heel. They suit medium volume feet very well, but those with very high arches may find the gusseted tongue to make getting them on and off a snug experience.
