Shapen Calla Sandals CLEARANCE

The Calla is Shapen's stylish and functional summer sandal. The adjustable feminine design and lightly cushioned soles allow for natural foot movement, making them perfect for those who won’t compromise on comfort or pretty factor!

The Calla’s leather straps are a mixture of natural finish and metallic finish to add visual detail to your outfit. The black colourway has a dark brass accent, the white has a silvery accent, and the pinky beige has it's name for the accent: rose gold.

This model is made in the European Union with excellent manufacturing and materials quality. Their flexible 3mm outsole combined with 2mm foam layer and leather footbed make them easy to wear and easy to clean.

Sizing

We find most of our customers take their regular European size in this model or go one size down. 

The Calla has a triangular fit style in EU sizes:

• has a very wide forefoot, and narrows towards the heel
• works for average volume feet best
• suits a variety of forefoot shapes
• If you have a square shaped forefoot (longer outer toes,) refrain from sizing down
• Leather can stretch and mould to the shape of your foot as you wear it in

Ground Feel

The Calla slip-ons have thin soles that help you experience the texture of the terrain and allow for the mobilisation of small joints in the feet when you're on non-flat surfaces.

For those new to barefoot and minimal shoes and unused to very thin soles, you may want to try something a bit more forgiving for all day wear first. Alternately you can start slowly with a very barefoot feeling model like the Calla, such as wearing them for shorter walks or events where you might be sitting for some of the time, like dinners.

For those who seek as much barefoot feeling as possible and who have restored some of the strength, mobility, and skill in their feet, you'll likely enjoy wearing these.

 

Care

Shapen recommends wiping any dirt off of your leather sandals with a damp cloth, and then once they have dried, applying standard leather care such as a balm. Leather care prevents leather from drying out to extend the life of your shoes. Ensure you select a leather conditioner that has a clear finish.

 

Best Uses

For summer sandals, these are the most formal we’ve offered so far. Perfect for special events such as galas, weddings, and other celebrations. Some may also choose these as a dressy summer option at work.

They are probably not going to be your everyday walking sandals, as other models would be more durable and/or comfortable for hiking and longer urban walking, though we’ll know more once we start getting customer feedback, they may end up surprising us!
