Shapen Feelin Uni Vegan Sneakers

The Shapen Feelin Uni Vegan is a unisex leather-look classic sneaker with clean lines and a springy minimal groundfeel. Handcrafted in Portugal with high-quality vegan leather with stitched construction to ensure durability, they have thoughtful design details including a slightly padded collar around the heel and ankle for comfort and style.

The grippy rubber soles are flexible in all directions and the low stack height (around 6mm) will give you a wear experience with lots of groundfeel and just enough comfort.

Sizing

Shapen labels their shoes in European sizing. The Feelin Uni fits true to size, or even a little generously: if you are in between sizes try your smaller size.

We don’t expect the vegan leather to stretch but it will usually mould to the shape of your feet as you wear it in. 

The volume of this model is suitable for average to high volume feet, scaling with the sizing. As they are a unisex model that have width scale with size, customers (especially men) with wide yet short feet may find the width a little narrow, similarly customers (especially women) with low volume and narrow feet may find the fit quite generous.

The footprint shape is triangular, with a wide toebox that tapers towards a sleek fitting heel. The arch area is lightly sculpted out but the soft material should accommodate lower arches if needed. The toebox shape is very wide and square, even for the outer toes.

Ground Feel

The Feelin Uni’s stack height is very low (just about 6mm) and the materials used are springy and flexible. You will have lots of groundfeel wearing them, meaning you will receive sensory information about the surface you stand on and how you move based on contact with the ground.

The Feelin Uni does not come with an insole, so you could add one if you wanted a slightly more cushioned feel.

More groundfeel can be desirable for skillfully navigating your environment, but it may be overwhelming if you are new to minimal shoes. These shoes do not feel supportive or cushioned; you will feel as if you are barefoot while wearing them.

Care

Vegan leather is very easy to care for! Just wipe gently with a damp cloth to clean (water is fine or mildly soapy water if desired). Same with the rubber soles. 

Best Uses

The Feelin Uni will be great for everyday wear as your smart casual sneaker for clean daytime looks. Available in Black or White, they’ll be versatile for different parts of your life. The all black can be dressed up a little if needed, and the all white is a summer classic.
