Xero Aqua Cloud Sandals

The Xero Aqua Cloud is a huarache style sandal that has been updated to be super water friendly, while providing the most barefoot experience possible.

With the Bare Foam footbed now extending all the way back you'll get the perfect mix of comfort, flexibility, and ground feel. The outsole tread is a new design which is going to be really grippy when you're paddle boarding or boating, and the Aqua Cloud floats too!

 

Sizing

We find most of our customers take their regular size in this model but the Aqua Cloud  comes in full sizes only. People who are between sizes usually go half a size up or down based on fit preference. The adjustable laces help you get the perfect fit.

The Aqua Cloud  has a highly adjustable fit style:

• suits most foot widths
• suits most foot volumes
• suits meost foot shapes
• those with longer outer toes or very wide feet may want to take the larger size if they are in between sizes so their toes don't hang off, but since sandals don't have a front to bump into many of our customers choose the smaller size in their range
• Xero shoes have a roughly rectangular footprint shape that slopes down at the outer toe area, rather than a triangle shape or a bean shape
• Xero's Aqua Cloud sandals are a unisex shape: the men's size 9 is the same length and width as the women's size 10 for example

Ground Feel

The Aqua Cloud is a little thicker than its predecessor, but it is still one of the thinnest sandals we offer and feels very barefoot and flexible. The stack height is a little more than half a centimeter.

The Aqua Cloud  provides lots of sensation through the sole, and feels very close to the ground. If you are new to minimal shoes and used to thick, stiff soles, you may prefer starting off with a more forgiving model. If you enjoy when shoes feel as close as possible to being barefoot, this would be a great model for you.

Care

You can wash your Aqua Clouds by hand (mild soap and a cloth should do) and let them lay flat to dry. Or, just hose them down!

Best Uses

With the recent updates from the Cloud to the Aqua Cloud, this sandal is ready for all of the summery activities we do around water. They are very popular with our barefoot style runners who want just a pinch of protection and nothing more. Wear them to the beach, for walking or running, even hiking if that works for you. The extremely comfortable and adjustable huarache style lacing ensures that they stay secure on your feet without impacting your gait- no toe gripping needed!
