FINAL SALE Xero TerraFlex II Trail Shoe in Women's CLEARANCE
- $175
- $122.50
The Xero TerraFlex II is a trail running shoe featuring chunky lugs for a firm grip, durable materials and design, and just enough support and cushioning for their intended purpose. This update to the original TerraFlex sees the same popular design with new tougher materials that still bend and flex to move with you.
Sizing
We find most of our customers take their regular size in this model. The TerraFlex II does not stretch out over time but it can mold to your feet a little.
The TerraFlex II has a generous fit style:
- suits feet that are a variety of widths from a little narrow to a little wider
- suits a wide variety of foot volumes due to the adjustable lacing and tensioning reflective ribbons
- suits a variety of foot shapes, though those with very narrow slope shaped feet may like these are too spacious overall
- those with very wide feet may want to go a half size up
- Xero shoes have a roughly rectangular footprint shape, rather than a triangle shape or a bean shape
- Xero's men's sizing is wider and higher volume than the equivalent length in their women's sizing. A men's 9 is about as long as a women's 10.5 in the same model.
Ground Feel
Xero states that the TerraFlex II has a "rugged 6.5mm FeelTrue® sole, including 4mm lugs for confident traction, provides the perfect combination of protection and ground feel for any off-road activity. The embedded 3mm layer of TrailFoam™ provides added comfort and protection and the toe bumper helps guard against unexpected bumps."
We would describe the TerraFlex II as offering medium to low groundfeel for a minimal shoe, and a firm yet flexible sole.
If you are new to minimal shoes and used to thick, stiff soles, these are going to be a more forgiving option that's closer to what you're used to while still giving you the benefits of a wider toe box, a zero drop sole, and access to more types of movement for the foot etc.
If you enjoy when shoes feel as close as possible to being barefoot, the TerraFlex II may be your option for when you need a little extra help such as long hikes with heavy packs, technical terrain adventures, or just extra traction. We have other trail shoes that offer both more and less barefoot feeling.
Care
Spot clean when possible. To wash your TerraFlex II , hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting the TerraFlex II in the washing machine or dryer.
Best Uses
The TerraFlex II is popular for all sorts of activities taking place on natural surfaces, from hike-in camping to trail running to walking the dog in the park. Our customers love it as a transition shoe when they need a little more support and a slightly more firm sole to get started with. It's great for when you want a hiking boot but dislike their ankle height fits, and works for spring through fall with some of our customers even wearing them as a winter running shoe.
