Xero Z-TRAIL EV Women's sizing

Xero's Z-Trail EV is the updated version of  their  best selling sandal, the Z-Trail! The Z refers to the strap design which is ultra comfortable, holds your foot securely for natural movement, and can be adjusted easily to suit almost and shape and size of foot.  Customers who dislike having material between their toes will love the Z-Trail EV.

The Z-Trail has a super flexible sole that bends and moves with your foot for complete range of motion and excellent ground feel. Their generous stack height and Trail Foam material ensures that you can Feel The World just the right amount, so they're great for people with any amount of experience with barefoot and minimal footwear.

Tubular quick-dry webbing is used for the straps (now made with nylon from recycled water bottles) so the Z-Trail EV is perfect for the beach, canoeing, and any other adventures where you might encounter water. They'll dry very quickly after getting wet.

The updated triple-layer FeelLite™ sole packs even more  protection and trail-ready traction into a 5.4 ounce (M9) package. They've adjusted the design and materials to be even more durable and grippy than before! The tread has great grip so, like their name suggests, they are ready for the trail. The Z-Trail EV is tough enough for more technical outings but with a variety of colour options and their classic and casual appearance, you'll be wearing them for casual trips too. New To Minimal?

These are a great sandal to start with if you want to transition to minimal shoes this summer! Their zero-drop sole is around 1cm thick and includes shock absorbent Trail Foam, so it will be more forgiving than some of Xero's more barefoot feeling models. This also makes them a great choice for people who are spending a lot of time on unnaturally hard surfaces like pavement, and for people who just prefer a really comfy feeling sandal!

If you're looking for the most barefoot feeling possible, you may want to look at models with a slightly thinner sole or a less cushiony feeling sole. We're happy to suggest alternatives like the Z-Trek or Cloud, for example.

Sizing and Fit Notes

Most of our customers take their usual size in the Z-Trail EV, so we describe them as fitting true to size. Since they only come in whole sizes (no half sizes), we recommend rounding up if you're between sizes to avoid toes falling off the edges.
