Utilitarian and rugged, Scott III is a barefoot winter staple to take you from city meetings to country walks. Simple, warm, and built for durability; made from wild hide, naturally-scarred leather from free-roaming cattle.
They are multipurpose so you can get lots of use out of the versatile Scott III. They should be able to handle Toronto winters for casual use, though you may want something warmer if you work outside all day. They can be styled as a combat boot or a handsome hiking option for casual to medium traction needs, and they could easily fit into an office environment with their gorgeous design.
The Everyday Hex Sole provides city to countryside grip and groundfeel. The 2.5mm base and 3mm honeycomb inspired hexagon design provides everyday traction whatever your lifestyle.
Made using water-resistant constructions and non-absorbent materials. Semi-gusseted tongue.
The Outlast Thermal Insole offers temperature regulating technology; absorbing, storing and releasing heat. This smart thermal layer responds to accommodate the naturally changing temperatures of the feet. You can replace it with a regular insole for summer hiking if desired.
The Scott III seems to fit true to size. We'll update this as we get more feedback from customers if necessary.
The fit style is classic Vivo: the toebox is wide yet shallow in height, and the lacing can accommodate a variety of instep and volumes.
These will fit men best, but women with high volume feet (wide and tall) may also find them a good fit. They should pair well with thick socks for winter use if you have smaller mid-foot, heels and ankles.
These are similar in ground feel to the popular Denver and Mika models from Xero, but with the benefit of being much more resistant to water. You will get an as-barefoot-as-possible feeling wearing them, for a winter boot. They're perfect for those who have already transitioned to minimal shoes or those who already spend lots of time in bare feet in natural environments.
If you are new to minimal shoes, you may want to look at a more forgiving model to start out with. A model like that similar in function to the Scott III is the Xero Alpine or Xcursion Fusion, or for a dressier option, the Lems Waterproof Boulder Boots.
Leather is very easy to take care of and durable, and so are the soles on this model. You can easily wipe off dirt from any area of the Geo Court with a damp cloth.
Leather lasts even longer and looks even better as it ages when you take care of it. If your leather shoes show signs of drying out, use a leather conditioning product on them. You can obtain leather care products from shoe care and repair shops, tack shops, and sometimes from your local hardware or pharmacy, or just order online.
Remove road salt as soon as you can to avoid damage to any leather footwear in winter. Use a half vinegar and half water solution on a cloth to gently wipe off the salt, then apply leather conditioner.
