Xero named this shoe after a casual, cool California beach town, and when you slip on the Aptos, you’ll feel that “walking on the beach at sunset” vibe no matter where you take it.
The freedom of barefoot meets the comfort of a slide-on shoe! Elastic sections in the upper mean you can slide in and out of the Aptos with ease (look Ma, no hands).

New To Minimal Shoes?
These have a very thin and flexible sole, so we don't recommend them for a first minimal shoe. The reason is that they will be less forgiving as you get used to a new gait pattern. You can compare the feeling to walking barefoot, so if that's something you're comfortable with on long walks you may be an exception.

Sizing Info
The Aptos tends to fit true to size, similar to the Xero Prio. We get a fairly even distribution of customers who exchange to size up versus to size down based on fit preference, but most are fine with their regular size.
Like all Xero shoes so far that do not feature a tongue and laces, these are best suited to folks with high volume feet, that means tall and wide feet. The heel and ankle areas are very generous, so if you have narrower heels or less tall feet, you may find them to fit in a loose or casual style. If you have tall and wide hind feet you will likely get a perfect fit.

Machine wash cold (gentle cycle) and lay flat to dry. Men's sizing also available.
