Sizing:
The Shuma Nature xWide comes in unisex European sizes. Most people will take their regular size in this, some people will go a size down (for example if you've been sizing up for extra width you won't need to here).
Fit Notes:
-
The vegan CF+ does stretch and adapts to the shape of your foot when you wear them.
-
The overall footprint of the Shuma Nature xWide is bean shaped, suited to those who need more toebox width on the big toe side of the foot.
-
We recommended for low and medium volume.
-
Design for wide feet: for example the size 41 is 11cm wide compared to 9.5-10cm width of most minimal shoes in this size.
-
You can adjust the fit with the black laces.
- The toebox skews towards the big toe side, and slopes down on the outer toe side, and has an overall nice-and-roomy wide fit.
Ground Feel
Shuma Nature xWide has a Vibram outsole with only 6mm thick (2 mm + 4 mm tread) and an optional insole.
The Vibram outsoles are flexible in all directions and have a great grip, as you would expect from Vibram. The design of the outsole feels stable on flat ground, yet conforms around bumps and dips on uneven surfaces.
These shoes feel very barefoot, very similar to Chitra model of Ahinsa .
If you are new to minimal shoes you might try a more cushioned trail shoe first, or be very careful to adventure within your body’s current skill-set and limits during the first few months of wear when your feet are building strength, range of motion, and new skills.
Care
CF+ is very easy to clean, just wipe with a damp cloth. Here's a few other tips from Ahinsa.
Best Uses
Those boots are design for trekking. The Vibram sole is durable and guarantees a firm grip on both rocks and muddy trails. We recommended wearing them in the fall season and changing the insole for a winter insole if you want to wear them in winter.
