Xero uses gendered American Sizing, with women’s or men’s sizes on the label. A men’s 9 will be similar in length to a women’s 10.5, however the men’s sizing is wider and higher volume throughout.

• Design Impact: Though the sole itself is on the thinner side similar to most Xero shoes, the durable rubber and leather add a lot of structure, so it is less flexible than models with a similar stack height with softer materials. They should become slightly more flexible as they break in and the leather softens.

As a transition shoe:

Due to the medium groundfeel and flexibility, these shoes are great for most people to transition with. While it’s still important to pay attention to your body’s limits, these shoes may require less changes to your routine if you’re new to barefoot.

The uppers are leather, and come pre-treated with water resistance. To maintain water protection over time, you will need to do regular maintenance with a waterproofing spray (about once a month during their wear season). Clean by brushing off dried dirt, then wiping with a damp cloth. Store leather shoes away from heat sources.
