After the success of the lined Synergy Fleece last winter, we’ve decided to bring in their 3 season version! These are just called, “Synergy.”

Sizing

The Synergy fits true to size leaning towards generous in length.

We recommend ordering your usual European size. You can see our sizing guide for conversions from US sizing under Shop Online.

Be Lenka uses European unisex sizing. 

Fit Notes:

• All leather shoes can stretch, soften, and mold to the shape of your foot with wear.
• The Synergy has a triangular footprint shape: the fit tapers in width from the midfoot to the heel. 
• Their design has a shallow toebox and shallow midfoot that gets taller at the ankle, so the overall volume of the shoe is average-to-low.
• They will stretch out over the midfoot so if you feel pressure there it should be fine as long as it’s not uncomfortable, and loosen the laces too.
• Width in the forefoot is somewhat skewed towards the big toe.
• There is a small amount of adjustability to the volume possible through the lacing.
• The Synergy’s toebox suits plateau toe shape the best, but their generous and wide toebox suits a variety of toe shapes.

Ground Feel

Be Lenka’s Synergy offers a thin, soft, and flexible sole that moves with your foot. You will get lots of ground feel wearing them. The tread is designed for casual urban use such as taking the transit to work, so they are grippy on wet surfaces.

The material qualities of the Thermoplastic Rubber soles and their thinness allows your feet to feel what’s underneath them so you can navigate the world confidently. You will also feel physical feedback as you walk informing you of how comfortable your gait really is without cushioning. Finally, the flexibility of the soles allows them to bend with your feet over obstacles, meaning the shoes allow for a greater variety of foot movements to occur.

If you are looking for the most barefoot-like experience, the Synergy is a great option. If you are new to minimal shoes and like the style of the Synergy, take your transition very slow in these and research the transition process to improve your experience, we’re happy to point you in the right direction!

Care

As the Synergy is a nubuck leather ankle boot, you’ll want to use care products made for nubuck leather. This includes brushes, cleaners, and conditioners. You can find these at shoe repair and maintenance goods stores or online.

You can apply waterproofing treatment made for nubuck leather to the Synergy if desired, and it will increase the overall lifespan of the boots with regular application.

Best Uses

The Synergy is designed for use in city environments, walking around, at the office, going out, running errands etc. They are not designed for athletic use or as trail/winter boots.

They will elevate your jeans, and pair well with business casual wear. For your everyday wear, they bring an effortless elegance to your style that is comfortable and feels ultra barefoot.
