We've found most customers take their usual European sizing in the Ra III, and Vivo suggests going up a size if you have wider feet.
The leather will stretch and mould to the shape of your feet as you wear in the Ra III.
The men’s version will be wider and taller (higher volume) but about the same length as the women’s version, for example a men’s 41 and a women’s 41 are about the same length.
The Ra III suits average to narrow width feet with a sloping toe shape. The heel area is more fitted around your ankle to hold your foot securely. If you've tried Vivobarefoot's athletic models, you can expect a similar fit with the Ra III.
Vivobarefoot is known for their extra thin soles that give you tons of connection and feedback with the ground, and the Ra III is no exception. Our customers who love to feel changes in the texture of the surface they're walking on will enjoy the Ra III, and more so once the soft leather has broken in to allow for even more movement availability.
For those who are newer to barefoot and minimal shoes, you will want to take it slow with these or wear them at first for a mix of moving, standing, and sitting. It takes time for your feet to develop the mobility and strength required to wear them all day, especially on concrete where they call for a soft barefoot gait.
The Ra III is made from quality Wild Hide leather, the naturally-scarred leather of free-roaming cattle, sourced from small scale farmers in Ethiopia. You can read our care tips for leather here in our Learn area.
You can wipe the soles down with a damp cloth to clean.
Make sure to store your leather footwear such as Ra IIIs away from heat sources like radiators, as this can dry out the leather making it brittle over time. It is recommended with any leather shoes to avoid wearing the same pair two days in a row, you want to alternate with a different pair. Taking care of your leather goods this way and with proper maintenance will ensure they look good and extend their lifespan so you get the most out of them.
The Ra III is designed to bring together the function of minimal shoes with the style of a dress shoe. For any formal events or formal work environments the Ra III will fit right in, though some find them so comfortable and handsome that they want to keep wearing these through the weekend too. The soft leather with an eggshell finish will pair well with a fine suit, or go smart casual with the Ra III for your next dinner date.

We’ll process your order as soon as we can, usually within 2 of our business days (Tuesday - Saturday). Our products are shipped directly from our Toronto location. Orders within Canada can be expected to ship within 2 business days, and International orders ship weekly.
When we print your shipping label and your package is ready to ship, you’ll get an email notification with the tracking number and relevant info.

Discounted Flat Rate according to Region via Canada Post
We are introducing Discounted Flat Rates for customers based on where you live in Canada.
Once your cart total reaches $100* or $200, a flat rate will be applied to your check-out based on your postal code.
The flat rates include: free, $5, $10, and $15 (based on your cart total and where you live)
*if your cart total is under $100, regular Expedited shipping will be applied
Why the new shipping rates?
This new tiered flat rate system was created based on a need for our small business to catch up with rising costs of shipping, whilst also giving our customers a better shipping rate than if they were to pay at full cost. To make this fairer for everyone, we created these flat rates based on the region of the shipping address, as shipping costs are determined by region.
Local Delivery via Trexity
If you are in the GTA, you can choose the Local Delivery option at check-out.
We use a delivery service called Trexity that is based in Toronto. The order will arrive within 1-2 business days and it will be delivered by a courier straight to your destination. You will also receive an email or text letting you know when it's been delivered.
Local Pick-Up
You can also arrange to pick up directly from our store in Toronto and eliminate the shipping charge. Just choose the Free Local Pickup as your shipping option. You will receive an email letting you know when your order is ready to be picked up. When you arrive, let us know your name and/or order number.

International Shipping
International orders are shipped through a Canadian border shipping service called Chit Chats. It is calculated based on the total weight of your order and your destination. You will be able to see the price before paying during online check-out. Once the shipping label has been printed, you will receive an email with tracking number and relevant info.
